Christian Sanchez is a photographer based in Houston, TX. He was born and raised in Monterrey, NL Mexico but moved to the US at the age of 15. Once settling in Houston, he learned English, graduated high school, and went to a local community college to study instrumentation technology. After graduating with his associates, he decided to continue his education at the University of North Texas and pursue a BFA specializing in photography. Christian began his career as a marketing photography intern for the Dallas Cowboys. He also worked for his college football team shooting at their home games. After graduation he landed a job with the Houston Texans as a game day photographer. During this time he also worked as an assistant for a well known Houston area photographer Julie Soefer. Although experienced in various genres including commercial, fashion, and portraits his heart lies with sports photography. Growing up Christian participated in soccer, baseball, and tennis which is why sports have always been a big part of his life. He loves taking the difficult in action shots and enjoys the thrill of not knowing what’s coming next. He seeks to be as close as he can to all the action and makes this particular genre his favorite.
